ASK Italian are proud to have already raised £1million for their long standing charity partner, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity), and so to mark the start of raising the next £1million they’re supporting GOSH Charity’s annual Bake it Better campaign.
The new White Chocolate Fondue available now in restaurants features baked sweet dough sticks served with white chocolate sauce, milk chocolate crumb and crushed pistachio nuts. The dessert was created with the help of Great Ormond Street Hospital patient Niamh, 17 years old, from Hornchurch, Essex who volunteered with chef Theo Randall to select the tasty baked dish. And this isn’t the first time that Niamh has been involved with ASK Italian’s menu, when she was a little younger Niamh also helped to create a special pizza!
50p (including VAT) from the profit of each White Chocolate Fondue will be donated to GOSH Charity’s ‘Bake it Better’ campaign, with all funds going towards supporting children cared for at the hospital, and their families too. So next time you’re at ASK Italian be sure to leave room for dessert, you won’t want to miss out. Or they’re perfect for sharing too if you’re feeling a little full! The special dessert is available until the 11th June, so be sure to pop in and try one before they’re all gone – we highly recommend!
The company’s support of the ‘Bake it Better’ campaign kickstarts their efforts to raise another £1million towards vital parent accommodation facilities close to the hospital. This accommodation is so important as it provides a home away from home for families whose children are receiving critical care.
Harry Heely, Managing Director, ASK Italian said: “Every member of the ASK Italian family is proud to be a supporter of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and we’re thrilled to be continuing our long standing partnership together. Over the last four years, our team has raised £1million, and our support for the Bake it Better campaign in launching this new dessert is the first step to raising the next £1million to continue supporting the valuable work of the Charity.”
Amit Aggarwal, Director of Corporate Partnerships at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity said: “We are delighted that ASK Italian is whipping up support in all of its restaurants for GOSH Charity’s Bake it Better campaign and we would like to say an enormous thank you to their staff and customers for all their support.
