Salmon Harvester Opportunity Fund (SHOF) has announced that Cosy Club and Mitchells & Butlers, trading as Miller & Carter, will be joining Byron Hamburgers at its newly named Cathedral Square in Worcester. SHOF will commence redevelopment work on the shopping centre, including the creation of seven new restaurants, during the second quarter of 2015. The new restaurants, retail space and gym will be completed during the fourth quarter 2016.
Cosy Club has taken 4,904 sq ft and Mitchells & Butlers 5,661 sq ft, both on 25 year leases and located on the proposed new terrace level at Cathedral Square. SHOF received planning permission for the redevelopment, which will create 100 new jobs, in August this year.
A new public square will be developed jointly with the County and City Councils and will be located on the site of an existing roundabout between Deansgate and College Street. SHOF are in talks with a number of operators about the remaining restaurant and retail units.
Nick Webb of Salmon Harvester Opportunity Fund said, “We have now signed three fantastic restaurant brands at Cathedral Square who will provide a varied and exciting food offer. We are in discussions with a number of other good quality restaurant and retail businesses new to Worcester and the West Midlands.”
Salmon Harvester Opportunity Fund is advised by DMR, Hartnell Taylor Cook and Johnson Fellows. Mitchells & Butlers were advised by KLW Property and Cosy Club were unrepresented.
